Ford Focus Wagon 2011 Review and Wallpaper Download

Finally, the Ford Focus has a unified platform shared between Europe and the U.S. There’s no more, “Ford builds a better car in Europe…” It’s the same car everywhere. Today, though, Ford said the new Focus Wagon will not be sold in the U.S. The reason? Ford thinks we apparently don’t like small wagons. Well, some of us do. We Americans will just have to make do with the 5-door variant. Which isn’t so bad, although the Focus Wagon offers a bit more volume and a power lift gate. The latter is perfect for when you’ve got your hands full with groceries, or an infant.As usual, the Focus Wagon will be sold in Europe with diesel engine options we don’t get. In the U.S., we get a 2.0-liter inline-4 gasoline engine with direct injection and variable valve timing that makes 155 horsepower. Ford has the option to add other engine choices in the U.S., such as the 180-bhp 1.6-liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine, but I’d rather have the 250-bhp (or more) 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine that’s destined for the Focus RS.

The Focus RS could become the next SVT Focus, but Ford hasn’t decided on a world name for its performance-branded products. We’ll just have to wait and see. By the time the Focus RS/SVT is named, we’ll probably be seeing the 2012 Ford Focus Electric. It’s a full battery-electric vehicle destined for the U.S. and Canada in 2011. Don’t expect it to be an inexpensive model, but it will be sold in North America before Europe. It’s nice to get something first, but I think we’d rather have the new Focus Wagon now than the all electric Focus later.
